2024 "Be Victorious Award"

William E. DeLuca Jr, Elementary School is proud to announce this year’s recipient of the ‘Be Victorious Award.’  This award goes to a student who has displayed amazing character as well as integrity.  They are a student who has shown they can overcome obstacles.  This award was created in memory of Mrs. Vega who was a very important social worker in our school.  Thank you to our own Student Council who sponsor’s this award. 

This year’s recipient is Emaan Ahmad from Mrs. Richardson’s class. Emaan is a caring, supportive classmate who is always looking out for others. She is helpful, kind and considerate. She thinks of others before she thinks of herself. Despite many adversities in her life, Emaan has a positive attitude.  

We are so very proud of Emaan and all she has accomplished.  Emaans’s name has been engraved on the ‘Be Victorious’ plaque which is hung in the lobby of the school.  She also received a very special award during the 5th Grade Moving-Up Ceremony.
