2025 Fall Before School Clubs

September 15, 2025

Dear DeLuca Families:

This school year we are able to offer students in grades 3-5 opportunities to participate in some exciting before school clubs that will run from Tuesday, October 14, 2025 through Friday, January 9, 2026.

Transportation is available to those students that are eligible for busing. It is required that a parent/guardian be present to meet the bus. If your child is not eligible for transportation, he/she will need to be dropped off at the school at 7:55 a.m.

We expect that many students will be interested in participating in these clubs. Preference will be given to 5th grade students who are interested and have never had the opportunity to participate in a before school club experience.

A lottery system will then be used to fill the remaining openings until each club limit of 20 students is met.

Please be sure to provide more than one club choice to maximize your child’s opportunity for participation in this program.

Also, if you submit the form more than once, we will use the most recent entry in deciding where to place the student. If your child is placed in one of these clubs, you will receive confirmation of his/her placement.

If you would like to enroll your child, please complete the online form no later than Monday, September 22, 2025.

Clubs that meet on Mondays

(7:55 to 8:55am)

Art Club - Ms. O’Brien
Art is everywhere and everything is art! The art club is a time and space for students to share a love of art, self-expression, and a passion for creating. The art club provides opportunities to explore art and craft forms beyond what is offered in the curriculum like, creating murals, and exploring personal interest in art. It is an opportunity to work individually and in groups. The Art Club is a unique space for all kinds of artists and creators to discover and develop their skills, find and develop their voice, techniques and portfolios, collaborate with other artists, create bonds with the community through the arts, and learn how to work together through group projects that will beautify the school and community. The art club is an outlet for communication, expression, enrichment and curiosity.

Drama Club - Mrs. Bates & Mrs. Veneck
Drama Club is designed for students interested in learning more about the aspects of theater. This includes reading scripts, learning stage terminology, working on acting skills, and set design. Students will have the opportunity to audition for a role, and or participate with the building of a set and making of props. The goal of the club is to promote communication skills, teamwork, and self confidence.

Walking Club - Mrs. Coromilas & Mrs. Hackett
The Walking Club is designed to introduce the benefits of walking. Walking is a great, low-impact form of exercise that can lead to a healthy lifestyle. Walking has also been proven to elevate a person’s mood and decrease levels of stress and anxiety. This club is intended to be outdoors as often as the weather permits. Please make sure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing including sneakers, jackets, hats, and gloves.

Clubs that meet on Thursdays

through student-led projects. This is an opportunity for students to interact with each other in new ways to help promote and build a strong DeLuca community.
