Fire Safety at DeLuca

The North Babylon Fire Department visited DeLuca to teach the students the importance of fire safety. Students learned what to do in a fire emergency and how to stay safe in a smoke-filled room. The firefighters also explained why it’s important to call 9-1-1 and never go back into a burning building. A highlight of the visit was when students explored the trucks and gear up close, as well as getting a hands-on look at the tools firefighters use every day.
