A Special Live Zoom with Peter H. Reynolds & BrainPOP

Our 5th grade students had the opportunity to celebrate Dot Day with a live Zoom event featuring author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds and BrainPOP animator Caroline.
Students listened as Peter H. Reynolds shared how one simple mark can spark confidence that can last a lifetime. They also followed along step by step to draw Moby, the BrainPOP character, with guidance from one of BrainPOP’s animators.
The students had one special challenge—no erasing! Instead, they learned to embrace their mistakes and turn them into part of their artwork. With creativity and courage, they turned their unexpected marks into fun and creative drawings!
It was a memorable experience that encouraged students to be brave, believe in themselves, and make their own mark. ​
